Hello, My name is Tori Morris. I am a junior in college and plan on graduating next spring in 2025. I grew up in a family with a mother and father and one older brother who is two years older than me. I grew up being very close to my family and it has remained that way even though we have all grown and moved away from each other. I grew up playing sports, and involved in a lot of clubs throughout my k-12 life. These experiences made me realize that I am very interested in working with people when I have a full time job. I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with two seperate minors in Education and Biology. I do not know what I want to do with my life yet but I have th mentality that everything will fall into place when it is supposed to.
While I was going through the k-12 school system, this was a time when technology being integrated into to schools was a very big step for students. I want to say I was in about 7th grade when they started to integrate Chromebooks into classrooms to allow each student to have their own computer in class. A few years later in high school Chromebooks were assigned to students and were allowed to be taken home to help us with our work outside of the classroom. While I have not always had technology in my classrooms, iI was very thankful for it to be there on the ladder end.
Technology has taken over in this day and age. All of my homework is online. To study I have an iPad where I use an app called Goodnotes to create separate notebooks for each of my classes and take notes. Along with this, I also use words to create notes and to write papers. Something else that I use to help me learn is duolingo. This is an app to help learn a new language. Along with online resources, I also use my papers to help me learn in my day to day life. Just the other day I has to ask my dad how zip a file. My parents are a great resource for Mme to go to when learning new things in my day to day life.
Hey Tori! I have an older half brother and a younger brother, and I love that you are so close to your family because that is something I find important too. I do not envy taking any biology classes, so good on you! What language(s) are you learning on duolingo? I also didn't know how to zip a file until very recently, thanks to this class.
ReplyDeleteHi Tori! I loved reading your blog post! I feel like I relate to you a lot because I also was involved in so many after school clubs and activities throughout my years in school, including sports, orchestra and honors societies. I also love working alongside people and currently work at a preschool in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom, which led me to start pursuing my degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in education!
