Blog Nine

     Distance learning is something that I quite enjoy. Some of my favorite distance learning can be heard through the radio. For example, when I cannot connect the bluetooth to my car I listen to the radio and set it on a trivia channel, and I never know the answers, but I like learning new information that I can apply to later conversations in my life. A very difficult distance learning aspect of my life hit during Covid-19. It was very hard for me to watch a zoom of my teacher and fully grasp what they were teaching. I like learning concepts in person and small portions of information through distance learning. When I am a teacher I would make sure all of my students are understanding topics and plan extra, optional, course time is they needed further help. 

    Open Educational Resources are a very big part of my learning style. If I am having trouble understanding a topic in class, I look to other resources that can enhance my understanding. A website that I really enjoy using is called Jstor. This website is full of anything you need and it can make it easier to understand a topic by reading it in a different manner. This source is also very good for when I have to write papers and cite credible sources.

    Working on powerpoint is very fun for me when I understand what I am needing to do. I really enjoyed working on assignment four and creating lesson plan for something that I really enjoyed learning about. On the other hand, Assignment five was very difficult for me as it invited many maneuvers, such as hyper inking a specific slide,  I did not understand how to do until I watched someone else do it. This being said, I am very glad that I learned this new skill and will be using much more often.

Microsoft word has made such an impact on how I and a big majority of people have learned to organize their school, work, and or personal writings. Throughout my school years k-12 (mostly middle through high school) my schools wanted us to use google docs to do all of our assignments. I personally think that MS Word is much easier to use and allows for more creativity when it comes to fonts, colors, and anything else you could think of. Blog Six

 This class has introduced me to the new resource of Diigo. I honestly do not have a clear cut decision made on if I like it or not yet just because I have not used it enough. It seems pretty easy use, I am just a little technologically challenged so any new website is difficult for me to navigate and get the hang of. I really like that whenever you go to post something there is a big blu plus sign, can't miss it. I also like how it allows you to react to comments and not just reply with a comment. I am not going to lie, I was not excited that we would have to post blogs in this class, but it has slowly become one of my favorite assignments to do. With blogging, I feel like I can truly just speak what's on my mind and not worry about if it "sounds smart enough", or if my teacher will like it.  Hello, My name is Tori Morris. I am a junior in college and plan on graduating next spring in 2025. I grew up in a family with a mother and father and one older brother who is two years older than me. I grew up being very close to my family and it has remained that way even though we have all grown and moved away from each other. I grew up playing sports, and involved in a lot of clubs throughout my k-12 life. These experiences made me realize that I am very interested in working with people when I have a full time job. I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with  two seperate minors in Education and Biology.
