Blog Eight

 When working on creating website I discovered skills that I did not even know were possible. I never realized how easy it was to create your own website. Design features made it extra easy to make this assignment that much easier and capable to do even with my little background in website design. One of the best features I learned about was that you could insert a working calendar into the website and it could hold everything that was coming up. This was so great to learn and I hope to use this again one day. 

AI is something that is taking ver the world in today's day and age. I personally NEVER use AI and think that it can easily be taken advantage of. I understand when people have assignments due, and they want AI to help them and make sure they are on the right track, then that is understandable. But with this, come great power, and with this power students are often lead to cheat on assignments. This makes students work less because they have AI to rely on and this is just a slippery slope.  

I have used AI in class one time before. The point to this assignment was to help us find sources to help us write a paper. This is the only time I have personally liked using AI, it gave me multiple sources that were very useful and contributed a lot to my paper. After using AI for this assignment, my feelings towards AI changed a little bit, but it still is a bit scary to me but it is slowly getting better as a take the time to use it more and more. 

I feel like AI tools could definitely be used to improve productivity, but along with this I also feel it could do the complete opposite. For example, if one is able to get what they needed from AI to improve their productivity and leave it at that then yes, that could be helpful. On the other hand, AI seems like it is easy to get carried away with and that anyone could turn chatting with AI into a game. If I were to ever become a teacher, I would use AI to ask for fun ideas, and games to help make my teaching more fun and interesting.

Microsoft word has made such an impact on how I and a big majority of people have learned to organize their school, work, and or personal writings. Throughout my school years k-12 (mostly middle through high school) my schools wanted us to use google docs to do all of our assignments. I personally think that MS Word is much easier to use and allows for more creativity when it comes to fonts, colors, and anything else you could think of. Blog Six

 This class has introduced me to the new resource of Diigo. I honestly do not have a clear cut decision made on if I like it or not yet just because I have not used it enough. It seems pretty easy use, I am just a little technologically challenged so any new website is difficult for me to navigate and get the hang of. I really like that whenever you go to post something there is a big blu plus sign, can't miss it. I also like how it allows you to react to comments and not just reply with a comment. I am not going to lie, I was not excited that we would have to post blogs in this class, but it has slowly become one of my favorite assignments to do. With blogging, I feel like I can truly just speak what's on my mind and not worry about if it "sounds smart enough", or if my teacher will like it.  Hello, My name is Tori Morris. I am a junior in college and plan on graduating next spring in 2025. I grew up in a family with a mother and father and one older brother who is two years older than me. I grew up being very close to my family and it has remained that way even though we have all grown and moved away from each other. I grew up playing sports, and involved in a lot of clubs throughout my k-12 life. These experiences made me realize that I am very interested in working with people when I have a full time job. I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with  two seperate minors in Education and Biology.
